ABOUT

The time has come to pull back the veil and expose the truth about American-Irish Travellers. Murphy Village has a population of 2,500, Oakhaven Mobile Home Park 1,500, and White Settlement 1,000 for a total of 5,000 men women and children living in the United States. They represent 0.001529% of the total U.S. population of 327,000,000. American-Irish Travellers are purposefully lumped together with other insignificant ethnic minorities and referred to as Gypsies to artificially increase their population size. A tactic used to rationalize the abuse they suffer daily from the mainstream U.S. population. Everyone has heard the old expression: “A picture is worth a thousand words,” but it’s equally true that a picture can tell a thousand lies.

Repeatedly called criminals and con artists and accused of marrying their underage girls to older men for economic advantage. Lies encouraged by the mass media to rationalize discrimination and racism under the guise of illegal activities and child endangerment. The prosecutor prosecutes the guiltless for unsolved crimes to further his political ambitions. The victims live underneath the threat of imprisonment, not unlike the Gypsies and Jews who lived under Nazi domination, a vicious dictatorship that refused to acknowledge the cries of humanity.

Depictions of large homes purposefully described as mini-mansions to elevate racial tensions. The victimized left to wonder if the truth will overcome lies and expose those whose hatred has consumed their humanity. Facts discovered yet disregarded because they do not fit the false narrative of the story. 35% of American-Irish Travellers live in houses, 55% live in a single-wide, or double-wide manufactured home, and 10% live in caravans and travel throughout the year in pursuit of work. An ethnic minority whose majority population lives below the poverty line in American. The media reprints the same pictures of the same homes repeatedly to encourage a false narrative of opulent wealth ignoring low-income families who undergo discrimination and racism. At no time acknowledging the hardships forced on the men, their longing for the embrace of their wives and children, missed birthdays and holidays, forced to travel to pursue work to support their families because they are unable to find jobs locally. The children at no time taken from school by their parents but forced from school because of racist teachers and children who act out their parent’s racism daily in the schoolyard. The time has come for the illiterate to speak and address the lies.

The United Nations International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) was adopted by the General Assembly on December 19, 1966, and came into force on March 23, 1976, ensuring the protection of fundamental human rights. The United States of America both ratified and is a signatory to this important international human rights document. Article 27: “In those States in which ethnic, religious or linguistic minorities exist, persons belonging to such minorities shall not be denied the right, in community with the other members of their group, to enjoy their own culture, to profess and practice their own religion, or to use their own language.” Irish Travellers are an ethnic minority in their homeland of Ireland and other countries. Irish Travellers have a distinct culture, customs, and traditions and are seen by themselves and others as different, a fact that has repeatedly been documented. The Irish Traveller population in the USA is 0.001529% of the total population of 327,000,000. Irish Travellers meet all the elements required to be recognized as an ethnic minority in the USA and denying this recognition is a violation of the ICCPR.

Blanch Street, Murphy Village

A single-wide and a double-wide manufactured home located on Blanch Street, Murphy Village. Two families who live below the poverty line. Overgrown grass, unused driveways, and untidy yards do not fit the narrative of a place filled with wealthy inhabitants, criminals, and con artists.
